Our customer is a supply chain automation startup that aims to revolutionize the way freight forwarding companies manage shipping container deliveries.
Challenges
Managing shipping containers currently requires a manual and repetitive process. This involves copying and pasting data from different documents, online sources, and proprietary freight management systems. The various data formats and sources make automation challenging, leading companies to depend on costly manual labor. However, with emerging technological capabilities of generative AI, not only could these labor costs be significantly reduced, but the potential for improved productivity is also immense, offering an exciting prospect in the freight forwarding industry.
Solution
Trivium has developed a proof-of-concept automation system based on generative AI integration. This system was based on the extraction of shipping data from documents and emails in arbitrary formats. Integrating into existing transportation management systems, the PoC showcased a 50% manual work reduction in daily freight management tasks of logistics coordinators.
Benefits
The proof of concept (PoC) developed by Trivium enabled the startup to attract early adopters and positioned the company to raise a seed round.
